Sometimes it frightens me how large of a sugar tooth I have… but I listen to my body and give it what it wants! But really.. it always wants brownies.
These brownies are filled with macronutrients from the black beans and the protein powder and satisfy every dessert craving that I get.
Plus, with the cacao powder and nibs, you’ ll get a tonne of antioxidants, calcium, magnesium, and it’s one of the highest plant-based sources of iron. Not only that but cacao contains anandamide (a mood improve), phenethylamine (an aphrodisiac), flavanols (an anti-inflammatory), and it boosts levels of serotonin for us to feel good (and actually help PMS). Cacao is a true superfood!

I developed this recipe for a friend with food sensitivities, including a nut allergy, so I kept it simple! However, my mind is thinking that a nice almond butter or peanut butter swirl in these would be incredible, or even making them crunchy with a few other nuts and seeds would be perfect too.
